Privacy

This note explains how Releaf Property Care handles personal information collected through this website, and when you call or email us. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

When you send a quote request, we collect what you enter:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Your property address
• The service you're after and any details you add
• How you heard about us, if you choose to tell us

Only your first name and email are required. If you call or email instead, we keep the details you give us then.

Why we collect it

• To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote
• To arrange, carry out and invoice the work
• To keep a record of jobs we've done for your property
• To understand which of our advertising is working

We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing without asking first.

Who can see it

Your information is used by Releaf Property Care. We never sell or rent it. It is held with the service providers that run our website and business systems, who use it only to provide that service to us:

• Vercel, which hosts this website
• Turso, which hosts our customer database
• Resend, which delivers enquiry notifications to our inbox
• Google, which provides our email

Some of these providers store information outside New Zealand, including in the United States and Japan. We only share information beyond this if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we need it for the reasons above. Job and invoice records are kept for as long as tax law requires, usually seven years. If you made an enquiry that didn't lead to any work and would like it deleted, just ask.

Website analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, which site referred the visit, and the country and type of device. It uses no cookies and doesn't identify you.

We also count taps on our phone number as a simple daily total, recording only which part of the page was tapped and whether it was on a phone or a computer — nothing about who tapped it.

To stop spam, the website briefly uses your connection's IP address to limit repeated form submissions. It isn't stored.

Cookies

This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie it sets is a sign-in cookie for our own admin area, which visitors never receive.

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Contact us on 027 508 9229 or at releafpropertycare@gmail.com, and we'll respond within 20 working days.

If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, please talk to us first. If we can't resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
